has spent the last thirty years of her life helping people overcome the effects of bullying. She was told in elementary school she would never make it because of her many learning differences. Her stubbornness made all of her naysayers wrong. Thanks to her difficulties growing up she developed a system to overcome bullies and rise above. Many times, it's the bully that lives in our own minds that is the most damaging.
Jeanie was raised on a dairy farm in Morton, Washington, where she spent her time riding horses, feeding calves, milking cows, and learning the importance of responsibility and hard work. After graduating from the University of Utah, Cisco-Meth went on to teach at-risk high school students for sixteen years. She now gives seminars and training on the subject of preventing internal and external bullying. She is a two-time best-selling author and is currently working on her third book.
"The title is ā Bully Proofing Youā but it could as easily and aptly been titled ā Bullet Proofing Youā. An enjoyable read, Bully Proofing weaves together not only the author's own stories and experiences but also several remarkable stories and examples from history and modern day. There are several exercisesĀ to perform such as writing out 100 things one is happy for. While I thought this might be tedious and didn't see the point right away, it worked as claimed and I felt almost immediately better about myself and others. There are numerous other helpful drills throughout that are therapeuticĀ and have the feel of impact of a really good session with a therapist, for the cheap price of the book! Thanks for writing this much needed book Jeanie!"

"Jeanie Cisco-Meth book helps remind me of myself and how far I have come. Her attitude of gratitude and learning to love ones-self is a constant reminder on how I should perceive myself so that others can treat me with how I want to be treated. Jeanie Cisco-Meth's "Bully Proofing You" on audio book is great motivation in the gym and I typically use it 4 times a week while working out and helps me physically and mentally. Jeanie is a phenomenal speaker and a great motivator and when speaking with her you can tell how honest and genuine she is into her work. This book is filled with stories of her life that might relate to your own. The connections might be strong and when they are it helps you understand that you are not the only one that has had to struggle. A big thank you to Jeanie for writing this much needed book!"
