The Finest Thought Leaders
Rick E. Meyer’s passionate heart for helping others leads him in reading an average of five books per week since the mid-1990s.
Rick’s unique background includes running over 134,000 lifetime miles since June 1978, a B.S. in Agronomy (soil, water, and crops) from Kansas State University, and his M.A. in Christian Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary provides unique synergistic insights. Attendees will dash out of the arenas filled with mind boggling insights into metaphors such as planting seeds, proper tilling, harvest, and seasons.
The greater we understand the foundation of principles and metaphors, the better we understand, remember and apply the lessons which necessarily generates amazing immediate and long-term Return on Investments (ROI).
Conversely, slick motivational clichés fade away out the moment you step off the porch into the challenging elements.
While running an average of 9 miles per day for 41 years, Rick understands long-term persistence and authentic motivation to overcome every imaginable excuse. He conquered these miles in temperatures ranging from 13 miles in minus 70°F wind-chill (minus 35°F actual) in 1996 to 5 miles in 118°F in 1983. The weather has varied from blizzards, knee deep snow, ice, sleet, freezing rain, torrential rain, hail, lightning, mud, dust, and high winds to perfectly warm and sunny.
“Talk is cheap!”
Meyer’s presentations supply a lifetime of multi-mode “excuse-icides” for the attendees to eliminate their excuses.
"I have found it to be very personal, cleverlywritten, and insightful for people today through the lenses of your testimony. Our testimony is our most sacred sermon, and you have done well with yours."
~Lanier Burns Th.D., Ph.D. Research Professor of Theological Studies Senior Professor of Systematic Theology Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, TX
"Rick Meyer is the real deal...and I'm not just saying that because we are fellow Kansan's. Rick ran competitively in High School and College. He also speaks to various groups regarding his experiences. I recommend your purchasing this book and reading it with a cup of coffee and a highlighter. I have completed one marathon and several half-marathons and this book was an encouragement to me. Pick it up today and jump in."
~ Paul Pettit
“You will find a lot of "get up and go" in this book whether you call yourself a runner or not. Running on Faith unearths a treasure trove of applicable wisdom for daily life. Perhaps most importantly, this book testifies to how no hardship, pain, loss, or heartbreak can crush those who trust in God."

As I share in the book, any success in life that may achieve is strictly because of God and the people He intentionally places in my life. Yes, I have ran 25 miles on New Year's Day through snow with a wind-chill of Minus 25 to Minus 30F degrees. Yes, I have ran in 118F actual temp. Yes, I have continued to race after blacking out. Yes, I have ran 13 miles on hilly country roads with the actual temp of Minus 35 and wind-chill at Minus 70F. However, I give all glory to God, including the amazing people He sovereignly intertwines in my life. Yes, life has been filled with immense disappointments, devastations, and Victories.
It's ALL God; to His Glory!
