ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
David Furlonger is a Vice President and Gartner Research Fellow based in North America. Mr. Furlonger works primarily with CEOs, Board of Directors and other senior leaders. His research focus is as a futurist, analyzing how long-term business and technology trends strategically impact societies, industries, governments and organizations. He is an accomplished and frequent keynote speaker with extensive international experience. In 2007 he established Gartner's research on the Future of Money and then Blockchain.
Before joining Gartner, Mr. Furlonger worked in multiple business areas of the banking and investment services industry, and in the chemical and precious metals manufacturing industry. As an entrepreneur and consultant he helped to, publicly list and sell a software and media business in North America.
Christophe Uzureau is a Vice President at Gartner based in APAC. Mr. Uzureau works primarily with CEOs, Chief Digital Officers and senior business leaders. His research focuses on how blockchain and tokenization enable new assets, products and services to generate business and consumer value. His analysis explores the evolution of digital business taking into account emerging technology and business innovations as well as their impact on customers' behavior. He has extensive experience in the financial services sector. In 2002 he established Gartner's research on the payments industry. Mr. Uzureau has worked and lived in multiple countries and brings significant local context to his analysis.
