From time to time, Christians experience something of the sour taste of disappointment. It may be a broken relationship, a project that didn't work out, or simply that life has not gone as planned. It might be our fault, or the result of choices made by others, but what do we do when we experience that sense of failure?
This book suggests that intentional reflection of past experiences in the presence of God may be the key for future fruitfulness. In other words, to effectively move forward in the purposes of God, we must first look back.
Drawing from his own experiences, the author takes us on a journey through the Scriptures, with particular focus on the early chapters of Deuteronomy where a new generation about to enter the promised land must start by facing their past if they are to move forward with faith.
