Evil Sexuality

The Bible is clear that God made sex for a purpose, and as something good. But that certainly doesn’t mean that it is okay to just indiscriminately participate in sex according to one’s own personal wants and desires. No, God created sex to be practiced within the bonds of marriage between one man and one woman.

And, of course, the natural result of a marriage union is children. And when God blesses a family with children, He gives parents the responsibility of raising them to become responsible adults who will love and honor Him. Of course, at a certain point, the children come to a place where they make their own decisions about how they will live life, but until that point, the parents are responsible. Well, at least that is the way the Bible lays it out.

But modern society seems to have a different idea. It seems that these days, there is a group whose worldview beliefs inform them that children don’t belong to the parents, but to society. With that as a starting point, they believe the state should be the entity to determine how children are raised. And this brings us to an incident in Wisconsin.

Some documents have leaked from a school district in Eau Claire, Wisconsin that revealed how instructors have told parents they must “earn” the right to know their children’s sexual identity. They have also put forward a “heterosexual privilege” checklist. It seems that they are making an all out push to accommodate “gender-nonconforming” students. In other words, they are keeping parents out of the loop regarding their kids when it comes to matters of homosexual behavior. One of the slides in a training for teachers said:

Some transgender, non-binary, and/or gender-nonconforming students are not 'open' at home for reasons that may include safety concerns or lack of acceptance. School personnel should speak with the student first before discussing a student’s gender nonconformity or transgender status with the student’s parent/guardian.

Of course, when word of this policy got out to the parents, it created a massive uproar. But in the face of the uproar, the school district has not changed their direction. Rather, they have doubled down, insisting that they have a responsibility to take care of the needs of all the children.

It is actually rather fascinating to observe how these people spin their point of view. They insist that they are taking the stands they are in order to protect the physical and emotional needs of the children. To do this, however, they are only considering the side of the “non-conforming” students. They seem to have no interest whatsoever in the 99% that may be traumatized by their immoral propaganda. Beyond merely attempting to normalize this behavior by what they say to the children the classroom, they are also allowing these students who have gender dysphoria to use the bathrooms and changing rooms of the opposite sex ... and if this makes any of the heterosexual students uncomfortable, they are willing to find other facilities for them to use. In other words, they are looking out for the needs of the 1%, and in doing it are distressing the 99%.

So we really end up with two serious problems. One problem is that the schools are trying to block the parents from knowing what is going on with their kids, and the other is the trauma they are inflicting on the kids themselves.

How can this be happening? That is a question that is being asked more and more. And the answer is, “It is happening because the worldview beliefs of those who are in leadership in this school system view homosexual behavior as normal, and Christian beliefs and values as immoral. And how do they come up with that point of view? Well, based on their naturalistic worldview beliefs, there is no such thing as objective morality. What is immoral is what they deem to be immoral. And they have deemed homosexual behavior to be normal and moral, and the very concept of heteronormativity to be immoral.

Unfortunately, this ends up being a zero sum game. There is no room for compromise. One side wins and the other side loses. If the immorality of the naturalistic worldview beliefs is allowed to win, then the 99% of heterosexual children and their parents lose.

There are a couple of things that Christians need to grasp at this point. First, they actually do have a responsibility to protect their children, and should actively engage any entity that is trying to force immorality into the lives of their children. The other important matter is that ultimately, this is a spiritual problem. People who are promoting all of this immorality are doing it because they are separated from God.

Solving this problem requires a two pronged approach. The immorality being imposed on the children must be stopped – at the school or wherever. While doing that, Christian parents must be sharing Christ with those who are pushing the immoral agenda. If this second part is not done, the first part will absolutely fall flat. It is way past time for Christians to begin taking this seriously.
