Just when you thought things could not get any weirder, they get weirder.
In Britain, it seems that a letter has been leaked to the press that was written by the medical director of the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (USHT). In this letter, it is claimed that milk from trans-women (men), which is created via a combination of drugs, is “comparable” to [milk] produced [by actual women] following the birth of a baby. The letter contained guidelines on how trans-women (men) can breast-feed through “induced lactation.” This is accomplished when the trans-woman (man) takes the hormone progestin causing him to develop milk-production glands. They are then given domperidone which induces lactation.
Then comes the qualifier: The USHT claims that the drug is safe for men (trans-women) to take, but counseled hospital personnel to advise patients who take it about possible complications and limitations. So, I guess, the milk produced by these men is not quite comparable to that produced by actual women.
Checking with the manufacturer of domperidone, Janssen Pharmaceutica, they warn that the drug was not intended for use in breast feeding as it can cause heart issues for newborns. It should be used ONLY on condition that the physician considers it a clear necessity. When confronted with this fact, the USHT doubled down saying, “We stand by the facts of the letter and the cited evidence supporting them.”
This is the kind of silliness that happens when a political agenda is prioritized over people’s health. This thinking represents a legitimate mental health issue.
So often these days, Christians are accused of “not following the science” when Christian beliefs bump up against naturalistic worldview beliefs. For instance, since Christians believe God created life, they are called science deniers by the people who believe life naturally emerged from non-life and evolved to increasingly complex forms over the course of millions of years. They tout naturalistic evolution to be a scientific fact.
But the truth is, naturalistic evolution is not a scientific fact. On the contrary, there is no science whatsoever able to demonstrate that less complex life forms can evolve naturally into more complex forms.
But when it comes to men claiming to be women and women claiming to be men, these same people go crazy when Christians use actual proven science to assert that a change like that is impossible. Scientifically, men are men and women are women. A person’s DNA does not change, even when they attempt to surgically alter their bodies. So now, who is the science denier?
But that doesn’t matter. These folks keep going to the most extreme lengths in their attempts to justify their naturalistic religion – even to the point of trying to chemically induce lactation in men.
Naturalism and Christian Theism are competing worldview systems. Both claim to represent the actual structure of reality. So, which is right?
Naturalism claims that the natural universe, operating by natural laws, is all that exists. Christian Theism believes that there is a natural universe that operates by natural laws, AND that a spiritual reality also exists that includes the God of the Bible.
Here is the bottom line.
Naturalism has no way to validate itself. That would require that it account for the existence of natural reality based on the natural laws of the universe. It would have to use some kind of empirical methodology to account for the natural universe’s very existence, for life, for the existence of the many varied life forms on the planet, and for consciousness. It cannot do that.
In order to validate itself, Christian Theism must deliver on its belief that God exists. And how does it do that? God promised to enter the life of anyone who invites Him in. And He has done it billions of times. Naturalists don’t accept that because it can’t be proven by science. But God is not material stuff that can be analyzed by science. He is a personal being who is able to connect personally with other persons.
It makes no difference that Naturalists claim the structure of reality is different from the way it actually exists. Their claim simply isn’t true. They just don’t know what they don’t know. Reality exists how it exists and doesn’t exist any other way. That includes the fact that men are men and women are women, and also the objectively real existence of God. There actually is a spiritual part of reality. And the Naturalist’s assertion that the natural universe, operating by natural laws, is all that exists does not change reality.
